Then there are different types of bees, such as bumblebees, honey bees, stingless bees, killer bees, African honey bees and even nocturnal bees and communal bees. There are many different types of bees, but the most common are bumble bees and honey bees. Bumble bees are large and very distinctive in color--very bright yellow and black. Also, they are about an inch long and large. Honey bees are smaller and duller in color.

Bumble bees are most often seen on flowers and are not aggressive. They are fluffy and are pollinaters. Yellow jackets have a slick exterior and are black and yellow. Wasps are darkly colored, aggressive, and have a painful sting. Carpenter bees are fat and fluffy and live in wood. Honey bees are the most important to crops and are endangered.
