Well you could get full custody, where your kids would live with you all the time. Or your spouse could get full custody. In either case, the non-custodial parent would have certain visitation rights (agreed on by you and the court). Or you could have shared custody, where your kids would do one week with you or ex-spouse, alternating.

You have joint custody, where one parent has full time custody but all major decisions must be agreed upon by both parents. You have shared, when the parents live close together and can allow the child to have equal time.Finally, sole custody, only one parent has rights or choices.

If a parent is a danger to the child they could only receive Supervised Visits. However, in most cases the child's time is usually split between the two parents. If one parent is deemed unfit to raise the child then the other parent can get full custody.

It depends on how capable both parents are. Most likely you will get 50/50 custody. Sometimes one parent gets all.

It depends on the situation but the child could be cared for by: one parent only, with no visitation from the other One parent during the week, and the other during weekends, one parent only, with visitation from the other one parent one week, one the other one parent during school, one during vacation
