Males are larger in structure. Females have a pack instinct so they will defend their loved ones more than males. Males are more territorial of their location.

As with most other dogs, males tend to be more dominate and aggressive towards other dogs than females do. Though both male and female can make very excellent watch dogs. I believe a male is slightly larger than a female, but not by much. Personality all varies from dog to dog, regardless of gender.

As long as the female doesn't have puppies there is really no difference in them if a female has puppies depending on her tmperment she may tend to be more agressive. She may also only show agression to people she doesnt know it also depends on how the dogs have been raised.

Male German Shepards are larger, more aggresive, and from expierence harder to train. Females are slightly smaller and are more docile and trainable.

From experience raising German Shephards and having both males and females I have noticed very little differenece in the temperament between males and females.

It's personal preference, females are better with small children and often alittle smaller. Temperaments are about the same. Males are more protective of the house

A lot of it depends on the individual dog. Males tend to be a bit bigger than females, but other than that they can both make equally good pets. You need to look at the individual dog, not just its gender to tell if it's going to be a good pet or not.

Many people prefer female dogs because it is widely believed females, in addition to having a calmer temperament, are more intelligent. Making them easier to train and house break. (Often times, a housebroken male dog will continue to urinate around the home.) However, my belief is that every dog is an individual and that females are no better than males!
