Not too much, as they are both a gas that achieves the same thing. Propane is portable, natural is not.

Not much, really. compressed natural gas (CNG) and propane are similar fuels. I imagine the main difference is the equipment used to hook up the fuel canister to the burner. Otherwise they're functionally similar.

Both grills work the same way and will cook those steaks just as well. With a gas grill, you need a natural gas supply. With propane you just need to have a tank of propane.

The difference is in the gas supply and the type of burner the unit uses. A propane grill uses a propane tank to supply its gas. most natural gas grills have a supply line connected to your house's natural gas supply. If yours has a replaceable tank its probably propane.

Gas grills can almost perpetually -- though this means that you'll need a natural gas hookup installed in your patio, and won't be able to move your grill. Propane grills are mobile, but require you to buy heavy tanks of propane, and run the risk of running out of fuel.

Most gas grills can be changed from natural gas and propane, if needed. The differences are in the size of the orifice (hole) in the burners, and the regulators.

A natural gas grill and propane grill are very similar, however you cannot just hook a propane grill up to natrual gas, you must use a converter kit. The gasses burn differently and if you used the wrong type it would corrode the grill and cause it to fail, so make sure you have the correct grill and gas.

propane is heavier than natural gas.Natural gas is piped to your home as a vapour while propane is stored as a liquid in portable containers.

The biggest difference is how the fuel supply is connected to the grill. Propane is stored in portable canisters that are easily connected to the grill. Natural gas is delivered by pipeline, and requires a plumber to connect the grill to the gas line.

Natural gas grills are installed by professionals, can not be moved and use your natural gas piping. Propane grills need a propane tank which is refillable and are portable.

You can run out of propane and need a refill or tank replacement but you never run out of natural gas. Natural gas is cheaper and environmentally friendlier.

Natural Gas grill limits the portability of your grill. Once installed it in a place, moving to a new location needs long hoses.

Propane gas grill fuel is derived from a cylinder of pressurized propane gas. Natural gas grill fuel is derived from a source of natural gas.
