One major difference between the Baptist faith and Lutheran faith is the subject of baptism. In Lutheranism, there is only one valid baptism, no matter the denomination.

The fundamental beliefs between the Baptist and Lutheran religions are the same so this really should not be a problem between the two of you. While there are small differences in some places between the two religions, as long as the two of you are willing to occasionally compromise then this shouldn't be a big deal at all.

Lutherans emphasize the sacraments and liturgy, baptize infants and believe that pastors can offer forgiveness. Baptists believe "once saved, always saved," and tend to emphasize God's rules.

Both are protestant Christian religions. There are doctrinal differences, such as whether baptism includes sprinkling or full immersion. But the basic beliefs (Jesus is the Messiah) are the same.

Some of the differences include that the Lutheran church observes communion similar to the Catholic church where as the Baptist church does not do so.

They say love conquers all if your love for one another is strong enough you can make it work. Remember to put your focus on each other and how happy and in love you are and not on any obstacles either real or imagined.
