What are the characteristics of Lipizzan stallions?

They are between 14 to 16 hands tall, a long snout, small ears, large eyes, deep jaw, tail held high, small but tough feet. Their main color when born is black and they go through a graying process till their coat turns white at ten years or so.

A Lipizzan is usually Grey in color. However, in rare cases they can be Bay or Black. They are born dark and over time they grey out. By the time they are between 6 and 10 they should be fully Grey. They usually have very short and stocky necks. The horse is over all strong and muscular.
