Colonial style is characterized by hand made furniture with a 'tropical' touch to it. The designs are reasonably simple, the materials local. That means teak, bamboo and other tropical hard woods. The colors are natural wood, khaki, sand and white washes. Accessories are animal prints, tribal art, tropical masks and exotic, printed fabrics.
