The most common way to contract rotovirus is fecal-oral. In other words, if a child forgets to wash their hands after using the bathroom and touches another child.

Rotovirus can be caused by drinking or eating contaminated food or water. Another cause is direct contact with contaminated surfaces.

Rotovirus is a common childhood infection affecting infants and small children. Rotovirus can be present in an infected person stool several days before any symptoms appear. Rotovirus can spread easily from hand to mouth contact. If a child or someone caring for someone with the virus doesn't wash thier hands after handling stool you can pass it on to someone.

Well the causes of this virus could be not eating proper nutritious foods. Your son needs to make sure he is taking his vitamin C on a regular basis. Also, hygiene comes into play with this virus. Always wash your hands before you eat something and do not eat too much junk.
