BUN and creatin are both waste products that leave the cat's body through its kidneys. Normal ranges are 14 - 36 MG/DL for a healthy BUN level normal and. 6 - 2. 4 MG/DL for creatinine. An increase in BUN levels could indicate dietary problems or dehydration associated with the disease. An increase in creatinine is indicative of kidney damage.

Creatin levels of 2. 4 to 5 mg/dl indicate kidney disease. Over 5 mg/dl indicates kidney failure. The BUN levels of a cat with kidney disease are more than 36 mg/dl.
