What are the best wrist weights for children?

My son has SPD, Sensory Processing Disorder, his therapist suggested that I get weights for his wrist to help him. Can you make suggestions or recommendations as to the best ones?

Small, strap on wrist weights are acceptable. You do not want any significant weight over a pound for a child.

You might want to try and make your own. Use an ace bandage and some bean bags to make sure that you don't use too much weight. Specialized children's weights can cost a lot, so this can save you money.

Generally, children should not use weights. For a special application such as this, your son's therapist should refer you to a physical or occupational therapist for proper fitting and training in using the equipment.

I would check with the therapist. They should know what weight and kinds of weights are best for your son. I would with people with cerebral palsy and the therapist have all the information on what they can use.
