What are the best tips for taking care of sweetheart parrot fish?

I'm thinking about getting one, but wanted to find out about how much work they need first. They're freshwater fish right?

A large aquarium is needed because they can get pretty large. The water should be at least thirty gallons, and because they are freshwater fish and are very sensitive to disease, a ventilation system is needed. They enjoy eating bloodworms as well as brine shrimp, and one should only feed them twice a day.

Yes they are fresh water fish. They get quite big (around five or six inches) so you will need a large aquarium - at least 40 US gallons and a decent filtration system. They are tropical so you will also need to provide a heater and make sure you keep the tank clean with regular water changes.

Yes they are freshwater fish. Sweetheart parrot fish require the same amount of care as a regular goldfish but they can grow to be 8'' long and should be fed moderately to avoid weight and size problems. They make great and unique pets.

they are freshwater fish. First, at least a 10-20 gallon tank with a filtration system is a must (no bowls). They are voaracious eaters and can make a mess too. Sufficient lighting and substrate (rocks etc.) cleaning is a good idea too.
