Any form of anti-bacterial soap will work as long as it is rather mild. Hibiclens,Bactine etc are also excellent choices for healing a body piercing. Keep in mind you want to avoid anything perfumed/scented and anything that has a high alcohol content as the alcohol will dry the area out causing irritation. Do not use sea salts.

The first thing you will need to do, of course, is to take the metal or plastic part out. If this is a fresh piercing, it would be a good idea to put a bandaid with some antibacterial salve on the hole. If it is older, all you have to do is wait and it will eventually heal shut.

No matter what, keep it as clean as possible. Do NOT use alchohol or peroxide on any type of piercing and always wash your hands first.

The use of sea salt will help the healing process, move alot quicker. Then just using a antiseptic applied to the piercing.
