Tomato plants require a high level of magnesium which can be found in Epsom salt. Pouring Epsom salt on young tomato plants provides extra nutrients to produce a larger and juicer produce. The salt also acts as a deterrent to pests, keeping them away and allowing the fruit ample time to ripen.

Some experts claim that adding epsom salt will cause your tomato plants to thrive- growing greener and producing bigger tomatoes. Its also supposed to be a natural pest deterrent. The theory is Epsom salts add magnesium to the soil and tomato plants require high levels of magnesium to produce.

epsom salt can make it grow better because it gives them some more nutrients that the plant needs to grow big and fast and another reason is because bugs dont like salt a lot so it will keep a lot of bugs away that would be trying to eat your plant
