For singles play, badminton court dimensions are seventeen feet for the width and forty-four feet for the length. Twenty-two feet is the length for half court.

The singles badminton court has the same length as the doubles court: 44 feet. The width of the court is narrower for singles and is 17 feet wide, as opposed to the full 20 feet. The net height is the same as for doubles. The long service line is at the very rear of the court, parallel to the net.

The overall dimension of a badminton court is 20 feet by 44 feet, which is used for doubles play. Inner lines offset by one and a half feet along the long sides and 2 and a half feet along the shorter ends mark an area of 17 feet by 39 feet that is used for singles play.
