What are the army aviation medical requirements?

The United States Army requires all aviators to be at least a Warrant Officer, or a Commissoned Officer. The medical requirements for these grades are 20/40 vision, or greater. Ability to run 1.5 miles in a specified time (note: specific qualifying times depends on age), and complete a series of push-ups / sit-ups.

The U.S. Army has general fitness requirements of all personnel. These requirements are more strict for various positions. Different aviation/flight positions require that personnel pass specific tests with regard to depth perception, color perception, etc. The requirements depend on the job.

Pilots must demonstrate optimum health and physical condition is required, which includes the highest standards of vision and depth perception.
