Silicone based hair products are usually anything that claims to smooth, add shine or keep frizz under control. They don't have any holding power but they work nice as smoothing and shine serums.
Silicone aka dimethicone is found in hair shampoos and condtioners which soothe frizzy and tangly hair. However, frequent use may strip the hair of its natural colour, thus a hair serum with silicone may be better.
Morrocan Miracle Oil is a great silicone product. The oil helps smooth chemical damaged hair. They also have a line of shampoos and conditioners that work well too. Also try Chi hair products too.
