Invisalign would not work if you have some type of malocclusion. Examples of malocclusions are overbites, really huge gaps, underbites, and tooth crowding. These malocclusions are best treated with regular braces. There was one case where someone did get a gap in the tooth that they did not have before invisalign. Your dentist will tell you if it's for you.

In a worst case scenario, the Invisalign wouldn't work for you. Consult with a specialist who would be providing the services. He or she should be able to tell you whether that method would work for you. Everyone has a worst case story, but the question is whether or not it is likely to work for you.

The best thing for you to do is actually get a consult on the invisilign. Keep in mind that invisilign is not for everyone.

Getting food caught in it and not knowing, then going back to work with food stuck all over your teeth.

First and most important make certain you are a candidate for Invisalign braces. You are given a retainer every so many weeks. Loose or break the retainer, pay for a new one. The cost is a lot more than regular braces. Once again, be sure you are a candidate.
