Some of the traits that are passed from parent to child are the traits that are easy to see such as eye color, hair color, and facial structure. Some other features are height, body type, skin type and pigmentation. There are other traits that we dont see. They can be mutations of our dna that can be passed down too.

One of the most well characterized traits is eye color. We also pass on traits such as height, hair color, and unfortunately we can pass on mutations that cause disease.

Nearly everything has some sort of genetic component. The obvious: eye color, hair color, etc. Personality, facial expressions, the ability to roll one's tongue are all genetically inherited.

Several traits are passed from parents to children such as whether or not your ear lobes are attached or free and even whether or not you can roll your tongue.

All genetic traits are passed on to our children, traits which are influenced by our DNA. This includes factors such as physical characteristics and susceptibility to disease. The phenotype, or how these traits are expressed in our children, is based on the combination of the DNA from both parents.

Your child's father and mother both contribute to his/her height, body build, eye color, hair color, facial shape, and tooth structure. You also pass on to your children things like foot size, and the ability or inability to curl your tongue. Another inherited trait regards ear lobes -- whether they are attached to the head or unattached.
