What are some of the promises of the old testament that have been full filled?

I am trying to convince my cousin that the bible is not a work of fiction.

Some people look for actual, literal events that have occurred. Probably the best answer to the question is what Jesus said to the followers of John the Baptist, who had sent people to ask Jesus if he was the Messiah. Jesus' response; 'tell John that the blind see. '

While many of the promises of the old testament are not meant to be taken literally, there are a few that have been full filled. For instance, God promised not to ever destroy the earth again with a flood and that has not happened. On the other hand, there are plenty of promises that have not been full filled.
