The main religion in India is Hinduism. The religion is included in their culture. In their culture the cow is considered a holy creature. The are respected and are never eaten. The wives stay at home and take care of the children. The children are raised up at the home.

Most of these generalizations are incorrect. Many if not most wives work, just like in the US. And most children attend school just as they would in any other country.  add a comment

India is not a part of the Middle East. It is a country of many cultures, religions and customs similar to the United States and no generalizations can be drawn.

One custom for women is to wear a Jilbab. This is a dress like an overcoat that covers from neck to feet. This is to discourage any molestation from men that are not family members. They also wear scarves that cover the head neck and ears down to the chest.

This is a custom in the Middle East but NOT in India, which is not a part of the Middle East.  add a comment

They would probably be similar to the folks in the region. It would also depend greatly on religion and heritage.
