Let him get some business cards for his jobs. Lawn cutting, cleaning garage, help a senoir citizen with things around the house, babysitting while the parent gets things done around the house. Paper boy. pulling weeds, washing cars. During the summer some camps need mentors to help with campers, see if there is a day camp near by. ymca.

In most states, children who are only 13 cannot legally work at all. Even if your child is legally permitted to work, there are few jobs for anyone so young. Some possibilities might include getting a paper route or working at a library or after school program for younger kids.
