Bake cookies wrap them individually in plastic with a festive ribbon and fill a basket, include a mug with a bag of coffee. Fill a clear glass mason jar with all the ingredients needed to make hot chocolate or cookies, recipes are available on the internet. Knit or crochet scarves, hats or mittens.

One nice gift to make is jars of hot chocolate mix, or jars of cookie mix. You just put the dry ingredients in a jar, with instructions taped to it.

Making a photo album collection for a friend or loved one would make a great homemade Christmas present. Gather photos that you think they would like from trips or special occasions. This is something that would have a lot of sentimental value and wouldn't cost a lot to make.

The best gifts are gifts that come from the heart. Of course making cards is always a simple gift and doesn't take alot of money to create it, or you can frame a picture, make a photo album, make jewelry, draw a picture, do a painting, or you can even bake cookies.
