You can have a custom designed cake that is decorated in a theme that is special to the groom. For example: if he loves baseball you can try to have the bakery design a cake around a baseball theme. Another idea is to have a special picture screen printed on the top of the cake.

There are endless ideas for the grooms cake that vary from the traditional chocolate cake adorned in fruit. One of the best groom's cakes I have seen was actually an ice cream cake featuring neopolitan ice cream topped with chocolate cake. This requires a little more effort in keeping it from melting but it was great!

A really good idea is to take something that the groom likes and turn it into a cake. Surprise him with the cake, he's going to love the thought you put into it.
