What are some good training tips to help my dog get rid of his licking everything problem?

It's kind of natural for dogs, so getting them to stop licking everything is going to be quite a task. Use the old trusty "NO! " command in a firm voice and occupy their time with a toy or soemthing when they do what you say. Good luck!

Seems like the dog is bored and needs something to keep them occupied. Try one of those kong toys that you put peanut butter or treats in. Or hide treats for the dog to find. Try is bitter apple spray on things you don't want the dog to lick

Bad flavored sprays can be a deterrent. If the dog drools excessively it could be a way to get rid of extra spit. It's also an attention soliciting behavior.

This habit should have been taken from the begining, whn you brought him at home. Now, it is difficult, but by threatening him, you can stop this habit slowly. Anything to be taught, should have been from the begining in the same way, like how do you bring up your kids.
