Touching your toes is a very good stretch. Also, the scorpion is good which is when you pull your leg behind your back and try to bring it up to the back of your head. Butterfly is good and if you can do the splits, that is also a very good stretch for cheerleaders.

It is very important to stretch all of your muscles prior to doing any form of exercise or physical activity. You should start with basic muscle groups including lunges, arm and side stretches, rotations of your neck. Make certain to stretch your legs.
