Macy's, JC Penney's and Nordstom's all sell nicer jewelry. K-Mart, Wal-mart, Clair's and Icing all sell cheaper jewelry. Jewelry stores sells more expensive jewelry and there are many in malls. There is also good on line sites such as QVC and HSN that have shows on cable and you can shop on line.

Some of th emost unique dangling earrings that you can find are found at places like flea markets. Also you can go to most jewelers and they will have something of this nature although the ones at flea markets are usually more original. Lots of people rent space and make home made crafts.

One of the all time best places to shop is Etsy. They have a huge variety of earrings and other jewelry in all price ranges. Many of the artisans take custom requests as well. Another good site is ArtFire. They are similar to Etsy but "Artsyer". Many of the bead magazines offer lessons to make your very own.
