What are some good off-season football workouts?

I want to keep in shape when we're not working every day.

My husband played football, and he used the off-season to focus on strength training (lots of squats and bench press) in order to gain mass. Don't forget cardio, however.

A good off season work out would be basketball, swimming and running. Basically getting out of more physical work outs are better since cardio and strengthening are needed for football.
