I can recommend a few groups (some not entirely gangster, but brilliant all the same) - Jurassic 5, Dilated Peoples, Wu-Tang Clan, the Roots, Snoop Dogg, Beastie Boys or under the broader term of hip-hop try DJ Shadow or Cut Chemist - great party music!

Some good gangster rap songs come from artists like T. I. and Eminem. On of the best songs by T. I. is called Bezzle. It has a great beat.

There are a number. Anything by Snoop Dogg (What's my Name), NWA (Straight outta Compton), Notorious B. I. G. , Eminem, Dr. Dre, or any of the rappers from the East or West Coast are good ones. Other ones that are noteworthy are T. I. , Easy E or Public Enemy
