If you've been told to use arch supports, the physician should give you specific instructions as to what to purchase to address the problem.

Examples of good arch shoes are any from DVS Shoe Company, Keen Tuckee Shoes, and Tsukihoshi. Each company provides shoes for toddlers and children. You may also check into inserts such as Arch Angel shoe supports.

New Balance has a good line of arch support shoes and insole inserts for children. Arch Angels is another company to look into. They are a bit pricey, but comfortable.

Dr. Scholls has good supports, however, I would recommend that you take your 5 year old to a podiatrist. A five year old's feet are growing and would need a complete examination in order to determine the right fit and correction that your child needs for their health.

If your child needs arch support, your doctor can recommend appropriate shoes. ask your doctor about foot exercises. That may help your child's feet better than arch supports would.

Just choose sneakers with an arch in them. Any good runners, even from WalMart are acceptable. Children do not need anything else - their bones are still forming.

I would ask an expert in this field. Your pediatrician or foot doctor would know exactly what would work for each child. They are all different, so I would think each child needs different supports.

You can buy some arch support insoles that work very well. It's alot cheaper than buying a whole pair of shoes. You can buy them at stores like Walmart, And Payless.

Never underestimate the importance of good shoes for your child. A good shoe with a firm sole will be your best bet. Spending a little more money and have your child's shoe fit by a professional. Make sure your child is also wearing a nice weight sock that is put on correctly.
