Some of the most famous cartoon series originatd in the 1980's. That was also the decade that toys were tied heavily to the cartoons as well. For boys, the popular series included Transformers, GI Joe and the Thundercats. Other popular cartoons included Muppet Babies and Scooby Doo.

The 80's had tons of great cartoons.Some of my favorites were Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,Thunder Cats,Voltron,The New episodes of the Jetsons,Bigfoot (about the monster truck),Super Mario Super Show,Duck Tails,and The Legend of Zelda. I hope that helps bring back some memories.

The 80's had some great cartoons on the Cartoon Express. Can't forget shows like: My Little Pony, GI Joe, The Snorks, The Smurfs, Jem, The MunChiChis, and Strawberry Shortcake. Some of these have been revied again.

Famous cartoons of the eighties are: Transformers: Robot's in disguise GI Joe: the real American hero Jem: Truly outrageous He-Man and his sister She-Ra Go-bots: also robots in disguise. They existed before transformers but they didn't do as good of a job of advertising. Mask: a spin off of transformers and go-bots.
