The most common spore forming bacteria that infect humans are Clostridium species, which include tetanus, gas gangrene, botulism and pseudomembranous colitis. Anthrax is also a spore forming bacteria but uncommon.

The two main spore forming bacteria that cause human pathology are the Clostidium bacteria and the bacillus bacteria. Bacillus is associated with food poisoning and is best controlled by good food prep. Clostridum has many species and is associated with diarrhea, tetanus and gangrenous limbs and digits. See a doctor if you think you are infected.

The clostdrium species are the most common spore formers that cause clinical disease. Different strains cause different disease. Botulism is caused by these bacteria as is tetanus. Of course tetanus has a vaccine where as botulism does not. Other spore formers are pretty ubiquitous and are rarely associated with disease except in a comprimised host.

The genus Clostridium is at the heart of many of the spore-forming bacterial infections in humans. These include the species botulinum (botulism), dificil (a nasty infection usually contracted during a hospital stay), and tetani (tetanus). We have a vaccine against only one of those. Bacillus anthracis (anthrax) is another example.

Two main groups of spore-forming bacteria of medical importance: Clostridium and Bacillus. Tetanus (C. tetani): prevented by vaccination. Food poisoning (by B. cereus): reheat rice correctly. Botulism (C. botulinum): prevented by correctly canning food. Anthrax (B. anthracis) - rare, avoid animal hides, C. difficile: often after antibiotic treatment in hospitals

One of the most recognizable types of spore forming bacteria would be anthrax as well as There are three primary genera; Bacillus and Paenibacillus are generally aerobic and the genus Clostridium is generally anaerobic. Clostridium causes severe vomiting, you may want to stay away from that one.
