Pour flakes into a bowl. Add water one teaspoon at a time until the mixture is the consistency of play clay. Lightly grease a cookie cutter with olive oil. Fill half way, then place a string down the middle. Fill to the top, packing tightly and smoothing. When dry, pop out of the mold and voila, soap on a rope!

Once you have soap flakes (by grating a soap bar) you can use them in various arts and crafts projects by using it as landscape snow or you can even glue it to a figurine or an object and make it look like it is covered by snow. You can also shape them into a snowman or a snow ball.

Make a snow globe. Take a small jar, and some ivory snowflakes. You can get small figurines at a craft store or even a gumball machine. You have lots of possiblities for themes this way, and seasonal possibilities, such as hearts for valentines and of course, a snowman. You can also use a few drops of food dye for color.

Ivory soap flakes can be used for a lot of different crafts including molding soap toys, finger paints, and decorative snow on holiday scenes or pictures. Because soap flakes are no longer manufactured, you can make your own flakes by grating a regular Ivory soap bar.
