Military language in the ranks tends to be rough and pessimistic. Swear words are common and not considered vulgar. They also use acroynms alot i.e. BOHICA (bend over here it comes again), REMF (Rear Echelon Mo-Fo), BUFF (Big Ugly Fat Fkr), MFIC (Mo-fo in Charge), OB (office B**CH), FNG (Freakin' New Guy) and AFU (All Fk'd up).

SNAFU and FUBAR are two common acronyms that originated in the military. There are lots of websites that detail military jargon and the esoteric vocabulary of each military service. As with any field, the military has come up with its own brand of labels, vocabulary and acronyms that are used primarily inside the ranks.
