What are some business ideas for children?

I need to help my child write a business plan for a business that him and his friends will start as a class project.

When planning a business as a child, it is important to think local--usually something that can be done within the child's neighborhood. In a cold climate, try a snow shoveling business. If the weather is nicer, try a car wash or the old fashion lemonade stand.

One of the newest things for children is making bracelets and necklaces out of caps. Pop, juice, buttons and button pins. You can even melt some types of molding glas and form them into items. Or they can do lawn maintenance.
