Horses can be affected with many kind of ailment. Ring worm,switch itch and laminitis are common and which can be easily treated although laminitis is quite serious. Swamp fever is another one which transmitted by biting flies and mosquitoes. There are some severe diseases which cause respiratory problems,Colitis,Arthritis etc. Most of these can be cured easily with proper care and medication.

Ailments in Horses: laminitis, colic, heaves, ringbone, navicular syndrome, blindness, thrush, strangles, bastard strangles, bowed tendons, bucked shins, COPD, arthritis, cancer (generally melanomas,) cushings disease, insulin resistance, equine influenza, infectious equine anemia, side bone, dropped suspensory ligament disorder (or DSLD), lymes disease, west nile virus, potomic horse fever, cryptorchid/ monorchid in stallions (retain one or both testicles. )
