Marriage is a partnership, but it should not mean losing all vestiges of privacy and personal space. It is fine for couples to have some separate interests, pursuits and friendships.

Have two separate banking accounts. Designate a few days a week for personal time. Share all house and childcare chores. Verbalize everything, put things in the clear.

Spouses should want to spend time together. However, it is acceptable to have a separate night with friends once or twice a month. And within the living space or house, it is reasonable to have your own desks or sides of an office. But if you need to get away from each other, this is not healthy for the marriage.

You must figure out why you are feeling crowded by each other, then you can address those concerns. You may want to make changes in how your home is organized, the amount of time you spend together, or how you enjoy other firends and family.

A reasonable boundary is whatever works for you two specifically. There are no rules. Some couples spend every moment together, and others live in separate houses.
