Your best bet is to hope that congress changes the law, because, under the current system, it is impossible to get immediate coverage for a pre-existing condition.

You can go into Medicare, if over age 62. You can use Medicaid, if you have a low income. You can join your state's high risk insurance pool, though this can be expensive.

There are guarantee issue situations that eliminate the possibility of being denied a plan due to a pre-existing condition. For instance if you lose your insurance involuntarily, in most states you are guaranteed issue for selected plans. Take to an agent as rules vary by state.

It's very hard to find these insurances. Especially if it's a pregnancy. When I had an unexpected pregnancy no one would cover me. So I had to get Staid Medicaid.

Depending on your condition, it is possible to find reasonable health insurance if you have a pre-existing condtion. However, expect to pay more for coverage and additionally, to expect higher deductibles and co-pays.

Finding pre-existing condition insurance is very expensive and hard to find. The best option is try and get group insurance from work. The laws related to work insurance generally allow for coverage regardless of pre-existing conditions. When it comes to individual insurance the laws vary from state to state.
