Effexor is an antidepressant which is used to treat depressive disorders, anxiety and panic disorders. Ultram is a pain-reliever which acts very much like a narcotic. It is used to treat chronic moderate to severe pain.

Effexor, or its generic Venlafaxine, is normally used to treat depression. However it can also be used to treat panic and anxiety attacks. Ultram, also known as Tramadol, is used to treat pain, however some doctors will prescribe it for depression as well. It is not considered a good choice though.

Ultram tramadol is used to relieve moderately severe pain. Due to its serotonergic activity, co administrations of tramadol avoid using it. If you take over dose you might have to be hospitalised. Consult doctor and take correct dosage
