A salesperson is always outgoing, very friendly and gregarious, no matter what the situation. You will have to be well-groomed, outspoken, and convincing. Especially if you are going to work on commission, you have to relate well to people and be able to persuade them to buy what you're selling.

Salespeople are usually very good with people. They can't be shy, so you must have an outgoing personality. You can't be afraid of rejection, because most people will turn you down, at least at first. You have to be good at persuasion, without making people feel like you are too pushy.

The first two are confidence and imagination. You will need to be confident enough to be able to speak in front of strangers and have the imagination to adjust to whatever the situation is. Then you have to be a good speaker.

Successful salespersons are outgoing and have the ability to identify when they need to speak and when they need to stay quiet. A sale can be lost if the salesperson talks their way out of a deal by saying too much. Self-confidence is important especially when facing rejection.

The best salespeople are outgoing and personable. You should also try to align yourself with a product that you truly believe in. If you are not genuine about what you are talking about, this will have a very bad effect on your presentation. You should have a lot of self-confidence and be able to handle rejection.
