Beagles can be prone to eye problems, and any symptom requires a vet. Beagles have a tendency to "reverse sneezing" which sounds like they are choking, but they're not- you need to be sure though! Most importantly, beagles are very social and need to learn socialization from their mom, they should NOT be removed before 8 weeks.

Beagles are known for their howling. If you're going to keep them out in the yard, you'll have to start working with them quickly to keep them from barking at all of the neighbors. Digging will also be an issue as they're trained to chase small animals into their burrows.

Congrats on getting the new puppies! They are extremely friendly, intelligent and curious little guys. Unfortunately, the common issues you may have with beagles include eye issues, epilepsy, hypothyroidism, heart disease, and intervertebral disc disease.

Beagles are energetic, independent, outgoing and stubborn. Dog training might be needed. Beagles have health problems. There are many eye disorders they can get and epilepsy is very common. Hypothyroidism is common as is bladder cancer and kidney failure. There are other genetic disorders along with the previously mentioned. Just be certain you get puppy from responsible breeder.

Beagles often commit culinary indiscretions, so they may have bouts of diarrhea. Beagles also are prone to pancrititis, due to inability to digest fatty foods so be very careful with table scraps.  add a comment

The biggest problem with beagles is their annoying bark. Kicking them is not an acceptable solution to this so please don't do that, even as much as you want to.
