Choppers are motorcycles that have been modified by cutting the frame, and re-welding it back after metal has been added, or removed to change the angle of the forks.

Well basically it is a sub-category of motorcycles. It refers to a stripped down typically expensive cruiser bike. A lot of them have big motors, stretched frames, and expensive pain.

A chopper is a radically motorcycle, archetypal examples of which are the customized Harley-Davidsons seen in the 1969 film Easy Rider. This is the definition of a chopper and yes they are motorcycles, the only difference in a motorcycle and chopper is the shape. Thats what i think the difference is.

Choppers are a type of motorcycle. They are the bike equivalent of a hotrod basically. A customized version of a cruiser bike. Typically one made in the untied states. Most have stretched/raked front ends, big engines, fancy paint, and wide rear tires. However there are no strict rules on what people consider a chopper to be.
