Northern New Jersey has many animals in it's forests and surrounding areas. Most notably there are back bears, foxes, deer, water fowls and much more. Northern New Jersey also has many great fishing spots with some remarkable fish. Trout and Northern Pikes are some of the best in New England.

New Jersey has beavers, otters, crabs, dragonflies, great blue herons, mallard ducks, bald eagles, red-winged blackbirds, minks, pickerel(which is a type of fish), white-tailed deer, ruffed grouse, black bear, great horned owls, coyote, wild turkey, bobcats, rattlesnakes, brook trout, pine barrens treefrog, woodchuck, pheasant, rabbits, hawks and much more.

Black bears live in northeren New Jersey. Always put up garbage and other food items. Never corner the bear and if he starts to paw the ground back away slowly.
