Although it is not the norm, some women do experience pain during ovulation. Eggs are released into the Fallopian tube and this may cause a certain degree of pain in some cases.

Cramping during ovulation is not unheard of. It can be caused by an ovarian cyst. Your doctor can diagnose this with an ultrasound.
