Should kids be penpals?

Answer by  quada13 (139)

Having pen-pals instills in children the importance of proper writing, grammar and the idea that friends can be anywhere, not just next door. The process of writing to a friend will also ease any stress or pressure the child is feeling, by allowing an outlet to vent or celebrate the successes of the day.

Having your child be a penpal can be a very rewarding experience for them. It is a great way for them to practice their reading and writing skills, and get excited about other cultures. If your family moves a lot, it can also help maintain a steady connection in your child's life.

In this day and age children having penpals is a very good idea. With all of the methods of communication, the art of letter writing had been lost. Penpals may be agood way to get children to learn how to write letters.
