No, you should not put a pothos plant in an aquarium only if you know an elaborate statistic of your fish. Some fishes are allergic to the poison that a pothos plant withholds. The pothos plant on the other hand is known to keep the water fresh and algae free.

You should probably not put a pothos plant into an aquarium. While these plants are known for being very hardy, they are not intended to be kept underwater. Go to your pet store and get actual aquarium plants if you want a live one.

Pothos plants do well in aquariums, they feed off the fish residue in the water and thrive. Just toss in a bit of leafy stem and it will root quickly. But you need to keep it clean, as any rotting plant mater will be bad for the guppies.

I have heard of a Pothos plant as a houseplant but I am not to familiar with its use in an aquarium. The Pothos is a "creeper" vine with means no matter where it planted it grows long vines very fast, so i am not sure it is a good idea to put it in an aquarium.
