I'm told a front-loader breaks down less often.

I personally feel a top loader holds more. Some feel that they also clean better while at the same time save your back muscles!

I have used top-loaders for 35 years. During that time, I had 3 break down on me. I am very satisfied with the use I can get out of the top-loaders. Plus I can put a lot in the basin.
