Should I buy a Lumix camera?

I would say yes! I just recently used a Lumix to film and take still footage in Uganda, and it worked great! Not only does the software offset the price, but all the features make it rather idiot proof. A great camera for beginners and pros alike!

Canon or Nikon are better choices. Especially the models with IS (in Canon) or VR (in Nikon). Both brands are specialized in photography field.
