Should I build a house for my puppy?

Building a dog/puppy house (depending on size) for a puppy is a wonderful idea. However if you have other dogs/puppies then it may make them jealous if you make one a house and not the rest. Leading to fights and possible injury. Build a 3'x 3' house for your puppy so when he gets bigger he can still use it!

Yes your puppy definitely needs a place to call his own. If you are building a dog house you should make it for the full size of the dog. He should have enough room to turn around in it.

If you are going to leave him outside in summer and winter, he needs a place to stay out of the elements. The doorway of the house should be bidder incase he gains weight. But I would make it for his full size.
