You should definitely visit your doctor, and he will send you to do some tests, because even though it might not be anything serious, and it can disappear soon, it might be a symptom of some more serious condition, so you shouldn't waste time.

If the noise is a constant ringing in your ear, it could be caused by several factors. Some people have a constant ringing in their ear that will never go away and has no specific cause. Other noises can be caused by previous over exposure to loud noise.

If you suffered some sort of trauma (ears popped, hit in the head, etc), something could be wrong structurally. If you've been in loud situations, spend a lot of time with headphones on, or take certain medications (check the labels), you may have tinnitus. Time is really the only thing that improves tinnitus; take care of your ears and wait.

Constant noise, especially ringing, can be a symptom of a serious medical condition such as hypertension. If the noise persists, you should seek medical attention.
