Should I be concerned about my cat acting paranoid?

My cat has been acting as if something has been going on for some time now.

Cats tend to be skittish, but if this is a change in normal behavior, ask yourself if something has changed in the cat's environment. New baby? New carpet? Strange new odors or sounds you don't notice might be bothering her. "Twitchy" behavior can also be a symptom of worms or fleas. Check with your vet.

Cats acting paranoid is nothing to worry about. Cats are always alert and give off the impression that they are paranoid but in reality they are just curious and alert. All cats do that and especially the stray ones. The more wild a cat is the more paranoid it will seem.

If it is really serious, you should go see a vet. Cats can indeed get mental illnesses, or there could be something bothering her at home or her other spaces.

Yes, you should be concerned. You should try to comfort your cat because it sounds like something is bothering them. Try to discover what's bugging your kitty.
